Ecatherina Vassileva and Meo Modo by Andrea Mattei One star Michelin Restaurant
Hello ! My name is Ecatherina Vassileva and I am a student at the Culinary Arts Institute at Varna University of Management. I would like to share with you my experience, emotions, and impressions from my first six-month internship. I was very excited when I learned that I would be in an internship in the most beautiful nook in Italy-Tuscany.Relais Borgo Santo Pietro and Meo Modo by Andrea Mattei One star Michelin Restaurant are in the heart of Tuscany, near the city of Siena. For me, this place was a small paradise, unbelievable wine and culinary traditions-everything that caresses the senses.
Working in the kitchen every day I realized that I had come to the best place where I could enrich my knowledge in the culinary setting. The chefs I had the privilege of working with are not only professionals but and good people who tirelessly transmitted the knowledge every day and were concerned about my professional development. They have taught me how to organize and systematize my duties, how to use my creativity, I‘ve learned what does collective teamwork mean, they taught me too the stars are in the sky, and Michelin Stars are the result of a lot of hard work and perseverance.
At the end of my internship, I had the pleasure of having lunch at Meo Modo by Andrea Mattei, a star Michelin restaurant. This lunch showed me that it makes sense in everything that is done in the kitchen. A unique and unforgettable experience comparable to watching a beautiful theater, listening to a favorite song or reading an exciting novel. In Meo Modo restaurant by Andrea Mattei, food is art. Every dish served tells a story you remember a long time.
Culinary Arts Institute, thank you for the opportunity to see live what was just in my dreams. Thanks to my chefs from Meo Modo by Andrea Mattei, who made me fall in love with my future profession.
