New attractive internship opportunities for VUM students
This week, we are delighted to host our esteemed partners from Nordseehotel, situated on Juist Island in Germany. They have graced our campus to introduce internship opportunities spanning tourism, hospitality, gastronomy, and culinary arts.
Their visit commenced with a mesmerizing experience at our Culinary Arts Institute: a splendid Chocolate St. Valentine’s dinner held on February 14th at CAI.
On Thursday morning, Chef Larss Regenberg, alongside our final-year Gastronomy and Culinary Arts student Angelina Kuznetsova, currently interning at Juist, conducted a demonstration for our first-year students. While preparing the traditional “Juister Pannfish” they shared insights into life on the island and kitchen organization.
Following a delightful lunch at our bistro Academica Food&Drinks, our esteemed guests engaged in discussions with colleagues from the Centre for Protected Employment „Credo”, located in the cozy restaurant, sharing pleasant moments.
In the afternoon, students from various programs interested in internship opportunities at Juist participated in interviews with Mr. Joe Pütz (the General Manager), Chef Lars, and Angelina. These interviews are ongoing today, and soon, we will commence organizing summer placements for the selected students.
