Our Students Shine in Summer Internships: Kaloyan and Oleksandr Achieve Remarkable Successes in Malta and Greece!
With immense pride and excitement, we announce the outstanding achievements of our first-year students from the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts programme. Kaloyan Nedkov and Alexander Hoviada, at the very start of their academic journey, have already distinguished themselves as promising young professionals through their summer internships at prestigious international establishments.
Kaloyan Nedkov is currently gaining invaluable experience at Hilton DoubleTree in sunny Malta. He describes his internship as profoundly enriching, offering him the chance to delve deeply into the operations of a hotel kitchen, including buffet services, event catering, and food delivery management. Kaloyan has been impressed by the hotel’s provisions – his own private room and staff meals – and the proximity to the beach has made his downtime both enjoyable and refreshing. “The work schedule allows me to recover and make the most of my free time, which is truly a gift,” he shares with enthusiasm.
Alexander Hoviada, meanwhile, is embarking on an inspiring journey at NUMO Ierapetra, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton in Greece. His work with leading professionals from across Europe has not only expanded his knowledge and skills but also provided him with valuable insights into hotel and kitchen operations. “Working here is a genuine pleasure, and the exceptional team makes each day special. My experience is both enriching and motivating,” says Alexander, highlighting the supportive team spirit and the warm working environment.
