Cook and Share – The New Culinary Video Contest by the Culinary Arts Institute

The Culinary Arts Institute at Varna University of Management is organizing the first edition of the Cook and Share Cooking Video Contest. The purpose of the initiative is to give an opportunity to young culinary talents to showcase their skills to a jury of professional Chefs, as well as to win а scholarship to support their future higher education.

The topic of this edition is provoked by the emergency situation with the COVID-19 virus that has hit us in recent months and will be “Healthy cooking while stuck at home”.

To take part in the contest applicants have to send via email to info@vum.bg:

1. Video with a duration of between 5 and 10 minutes, in which they present part of the process of preparing an interesting dish on the given topic, including a vision of the final result.

2. Brief presentation/ biography of the applicant (in the format chosen by the applicant).

3. Recipe of the prepared dish.

The deadline for applications is 31 May 2020.

The video, biography and recipe should be submitted in English.

All applications will be evaluated by a professional jury of experienced Chefs and marketing experts. The main evaluation criteria will be correspondence between the recipe and the topic of the contest, correct implementation of the recipe, presentation, creativity, innovation.

The winner of the competition will win the Cook and Share Cup of the Culinary Arts Institute, as well as a scholarship of 1000 Euro. The second and third place winners will receive scholarships of 500 Euros and 250 Euros respectively. Participants can expect many surprises, as well as a special award of the Rector of Varna University of Management.
