A New Season of Themed Dinners at the Culinary Arts Institute

New evenings, new culinary inspirations, and one shared destination – the Training Restaurant of the Culinary Arts Institute (CAI) at Varna University of Management.
The new season of themed dinners at the Culinary Arts Institute begins in October, offering guests the opportunity to explore a variety of culinary traditions – from Spain, Japan, and Mexico to France, Italy, Thailand, and Korea.
What makes these evenings special is that each menu is prepared by CAI students as part of their practical training. Under the guidance of their Chef-Instructors, future culinary professionals have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge and skills they acquire throughout their studies – from developing and preparing the menu to organising the workflow in a professional kitchen and presenting the finished dishes.
The programme combines classic national cuisines with modern fusion concepts, giving students the opportunity to experiment with flavours, techniques, and contemporary interpretations of traditional dishes.
A Culinary Journey from Spain to Korea
The season begins on 15 October with a Spanish Fusion Dinner, followed by a Japanese Fusion Dinner on 22 October and a Mexican Fusion Dinner on 29 October.
On 30 October, guests will enjoy a French dinner, while the November programme continues with an even greater variety of culinary experiences.
On 5 November, CAI will present a Mediterranean Fusion Dinner featuring special guest lecturer Chef Dimitar Paskov, who will enrich both the students’ practical training and the culinary experience of the guests.
The programme continues with an Italian dinner on 6 November, a French Fusion Dinner on 12 November, a Thai dinner on 13 November, and a Korean dinner on 19 November.
Over the course of just a few weeks, the CAI Training Restaurant will become a meeting place for different culinary cultures and contemporary gastronomic ideas.
When Education Becomes a Real Experience
Themed dinners are part of the Culinary Arts Institute’s approach to connecting academic education with the real professional environment.
For students, these events provide an opportunity to work in conditions similar to those of the professional restaurant industry, develop teamwork skills, organise the workflow, and respond to real-life situations.
For guests, they offer the chance to enjoy a variety of dishes prepared by future culinary professionals while becoming part of their learning and development journey.
