The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Programme successfully combines theoretical and practical training. Students acquire essential theoretical knowledge in areas such as accounting, pricing, marketing, business communications, and human resources management. They also study specialized modules, including culinary arts technology, innovation and creativity in gastronomy and culinary arts, international F&B management, and special event management. Their practical training takes place in the professional environment of the Culinary Arts Institute at Varna University of Management, under the guidance of both international and Bulgarian chef instructors.

During their studies, students undertake practical internships lasting up to 12 months. Thanks to VUM’s extensive network of active international partners, our students have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top chefs, gain valuable experience in high-end restaurants, and work in Michelin-starred establishments. This experience provides them with a real opportunity to build valuable contacts, acquire skills and experience in a professional setting, and lay the foundations for a successful career.
