The Hospitality and Culinary Arts Programme successfully combines theoretical and practical training. Students acquire important theoretical knowledge in areas such as economics, finance, accounting, pricing, marketing, business communications, and human resources management. They also study specialized modules, including culinary arts technology, innovation and creativity in hospitality and culinary arts, hotel operations management, hotel software, international F&B management, and special event management. Their practical training occurs in the professional environment of the Culinary Arts Institute at Varna University of Management, under the guidance of both international and Bulgarian chef instructors.

During their studies, students undertake practical internships of up to 12 months. Thanks to the extensive and diverse network of active international partners of VUM, our students have the opportunity to work with some of the best chefs in the world, gain valuable experience in high-class restaurants, and work in Michelin-starred establishments. This provides them with a real opportunity to build contacts, acquire skills and experience in a real-world environment, and lay the foundations for their future successful careers.
